COGG 2017 Eve Online Artwork Competition

Last month I helped organize the COGG 2017 Eve Online Artwork Competition. All members of the COGG (Central Omni Galactic Group) were able to participate. 
Over the course of the whole month of november participants could send in their own artwork piece. There were a couple a rules set up that would help them along their creative path. The PDF document that describes the event can be found here. There were a couple of special category prizes and an overal first, second and third prize. The total amount of prize money for the event was allmost 6 billion ISK.

Overal concept

The idea was to show their love for COGG by making a propaganda artwork piece. It should be whatever you like to create, from funny, inspirational, motivating, etc. It could be a real-world drawing, but it can also be something made with Photoshop/another editing program.

There were quite a couple of creative members hat sent in their creations. The artwork pieces varied from wallpapers, propaganda posters to memes. Here are a couple of the artwork pieces that COGG members sent in.

Special judge artwork category

Because the judges all wanted to participate in the competition we came up with a special category for the judges themselves. The 4 judges competed against eachother for this prize. Each judge graded the other judge’s artwork. Here are some of the artwork pieces that got sent in by the judges.

Winners

All contestants were given a maximum of 10 COGG’s as a rating. We organised this via a Google spreadsheet and counted the total amount of COGG’s given. Each judge choose their candidate for the extra category prizes, and  the contestant with the most votes won the category. Here are the winners for the artwork competition;

• 1st prize Stueey Yaken with 29 COGG’s (prize is 1,5 billion ISK)
  
  
• 2nd prize Handor Kairin with 28 COGG’s (prize is 750 million ISK)
  
• 3rd prize Yvok with 27 COGG’s (prize is 500 million ISK)
